You're a musician, right?

If you had issues to resolve with Prince and, in the meantime, he invited you to open for him in front of what will amount to hundreds of thousands of people, would you turn him down on principle?

Everyone involved knows that this is 'bidness'...if they all have something to gain from the arrangement, they'll figure it out. Perhaps they might even see it as potential leverage down the track.

That said, I don't know whether or not they do have issues to resolve and I shouldn't care, as it's none of my business, but I don't think this "deads" the rumours at all - I don't think it even really injures them.

Prince had Morris & Jerome 'open' for him at Coachella in 2007 saying this is how the PR tour was supposed to be

Personally, I am not suggesting there is beef one way or another. Your desire to place your personal template of insight squarely into this scene to the extent that you know if something is dead or alive is, at the end of the day, not necessarily accurate. It also takes detracts from the excitement of this announcement that they are playing these shows, which is pretty damn exciting. I hope they have fans or air conditioning, I hear it gets pretty hot behind those curtains.

Jellybean Johnson was the last (read: most recent) member of the original Time lineup who has suggested Prince was involved in blocking the Time's new record. This isn't new news and no matter what kinda PR hype trickles down from the MPLS scene to Bhangra UK artists is to be taken with a pinch of salt.
