The expanded version of my book PRINCE and The Purple Rain Era Studio Sessions 1983-1984 was released in November 2018. (www.amazon.com/gp/product/1538114623/ref=dbs_a_def_rwt_bibl_vppi_i0) or www.facebook.com/groups/1...104195943/

probably because instead of enjoying it people had to come and prattle on about how they felt about the revolution vs. the other bands and how they are nothing without Prince. Too bad that's what it always comes to.

That was great. Nice to hear classic Revolution. They still have that raw edge.

I felt the opposite. I'd almost prefer to hear The Revolution without Prince at this point. I know this clip is from some years back but the performance seems more heartfelt and sophisticated than Prince's current Vegas-y type revue. Hoping for some kinda line-up with FDeluxe this year.

It's going to always seem that way because these were the folks that were there when those songs were being created, perfected, performed live for the first time, etc. It is going to always feel differently for those involved in the beginning stages. But Prince is ever-evolving and so is The Revolution/The Family. I am looking forward to hearing FDeluxe's current music.
