I personally love the album. I like the mix of the different types of song included on the disc. Very well put together in my own opinion.......

I really love it too! it's has a more "Jam and Lewis" production feel as "Milk and Honey" was definitely a Prince production but the album is good R&B

I really loved "Milk and Honey" and thought it would have been such a great fit between Lotus and Mpls (instead of the Bria cd), it had such a cool retro vibe to it, but "My Name is Tamar" is still a really fun album.

i agree. Each song gets better each time i listen to it, which imho is a good test for quality new music!

i find it interesting how b/c someone is no longer working with prince everybody swear down they hate eachother or something negative when 4 the most part they still be associating with prince personally just like everybody claim prince got rid of mrris hayes on the welcome tour the man is on a stage by himself behind the main stage he plays at every show

Her singing is not my favorite.

"Everybody" does not "claim prince got rid of mrris hayes on the welcome tour".

The album is growing on me - but I think the Milk and Honey album showed her versatile voice better.
