Prince is wise to keep him around! Mr. Hayes is the unsung hero of the current tour. He's not on the main stage; instead, he's on a platform behind it, watching everything that's going on and contributing to all of it. He's an incredible talent and everything he did on the East Coast shows was amazing.

I've met him a few times and he's such a nice person.

I wouldn't go that far. But he is good, generally speaking.

If you have a seat near his booth at one of the shows, just watch how much he has going on all at once. It's pretty mind-blowing what all he is doing.

Yes Morris Hayes is really talented and contributes greatly to The NPG. He assisted a great deal in the rerecording of the Prince back catalog. I heard that from him when I met him years ago. He's a gear/tech head and keeps Prince in the loop. There's a computer/keyboard by Open Labs that I have and Mr. Hayes has been using them for many years. I believe Prince used this around the time of 'Mlpsnd'. Anyways, Hayes has certainly earned his place among the many legendary musicians who have been in Prince's band! Release Yourself

I didn't notice him much from where I was sitting but I could imagine he was great! He was so friendly when I met him in Vegas.
