Morris Day ~ Circle Of Love You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Terrible song, I have him performing this live on the Jay Leno new years show from around that time. I'll look for the tape.

I think it's a nice song, and I like the whole album. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. I have that footage too - and it is the lamest thing I ever saw Morris do. The factt hat it was on the Tonight SHow made it even more embarassing

from the man who thought terry lewis was running around harlem in the 1970s producing disco records & early hip hop tracks....
morris day's best solo efforts begin and end with oak tree and fishnets. i can't include the chuckii booker produced 'old school' as that was never released.

I don't know about the 1970's Harlem disco, just the rap songs from the 80's. I just asked a question, I didn't make a statement that Terry produced the songs. I know Jimmy and Terry produced a rap record called Bad Times by Captain Rapp & Kimberly Ball. So was just curious if the other stuff was him. The other comment is your opinion, I still like Guaranteed. I'm not a music snob and enjoy different things.
