I just wanted to say that. I keep saying things on the Org about how "talentless" she is, but I disagree! I love her CD- I think she has a smooth voice and the CD is good, in my opinion

I agree Francis...for what it was worth (2 Prince cd's + a protege)...it wasn't any worse or better than anything he did for Vanity or Apollonia! I love them too...but if it weren't for Prince...I'd probably never even bothered!

Its a very good record. I think Prince did a masterful production job and Bria is not bad.

Yes, I agree, I never would have picked it up if not for Prince but I was just pleasantly surprised as I expected to hate it!

I dig the cd...but I'd love 2 hear Prince's version.

There are a few tracks I really enjoy from Bria's CD.

this is an underated cd that should have got a lot play. if it was any other artist not associated with prince it would have gotten served up.

I am starting to love alot more songs on this cd. Kept Woman is my jam, loved it so much, I recorded my own version of it. I would have really liked to see Bria do a few live shows, even as just an opening act, to see her more. The cd has good songs, not excellent, but it was no more , worse than any other female protege album he's done....Vanity, Jill, Mayte, Appolonia....all were on the same level. Cute songs that are catchy, but no real great vocals, so no hopes for a follow up cd really. Only woman with standout quality was Tamar. But Bria's cd was ok, good to listen to while cleaning up!

I liked her album right away, still like it, and I think I will like it in the near future, too.

I like the production, the songs and its overall atmosphere. Sure, people don´t like her voice and her looks but I actually like her looks AND her voice, though she´s far from being a great singer but hey, Vanity , Apollonia and many other proteges were much worse than Bria and still weren´t so strongly criticized and riduculed by Prince´s fans.

It is surely not a masterpiece of an album but I like it for what it is and it is much, much more enjoyable than any of the hot selling albums in the charts. If this had been released as some obscure Prince album or bootleg with Prince´s voice, maybe as an EP with just the strongest songs, then people would have loved it.

Bria is faaaaar from ugly...would love to see the pictures of those who critisize her looks so harshly and yes definately a better singer than say Vanity or Apples or Carmen. No she probably couldn't perform live because of lack of a stage persona...shame..but is that really a reason to despise her so much..like really..

Yea we poke fun here and there about folks in Prince's camp but the amount of hate i've seen towards her is quite baffling.
