The band currently known as FDeluxe is asking the fans on their Facebook page whether they should go with the name FDeluxe or Family 2.0. I'm voting for Family 2.0! FDeluxe sounds like either a value meal or a female hygiene product.

I think Family 2.0 sounds tacky. FDeluxe is unique even if a little weird. I think only purple peeps will give a crap. So it really comes down to if it's a nostalgia record for us or something they want to market in the rest of the world that matters. Or doesn't matter as the case may be.

I don't like Family 2.0 - so if they can't be "The Family", then I'd rather it be FDeluxe (unless they came up with something better).

Yeah, that 2.0 sounds really dated and tacky. If they're wanting to turn this into some sort of longterm deal and reach a greater audience then they shouldn't let fuzzy nostalgia hold them back. The greatest majority of people are going to have no idea about The Family or what 2.0 even represents... fDeluxe sounds rather classy to me. If they can't be "The Family", then I'd rather it be FDeluxe, as well.

Family Squared would be my vote but anything besides FDeluxe works for me.

I always thought 'the Family Jam' would work, since wasn't it at the Family Jamm that the group decided to record again after gelling again for their performance at the event?

That is a good one or Family Funk or Family Sound since they deep into some neo funk sound.

But Fdeluxe is a wack name and I left my comment on their facebook telling them that anything but Fdeluxe would be fine.

"The Artists Formerly Known As The Family". Seriously. We all know now that is the codename for folks who are being held hostage by bad business deals. I'm sure Prince would understand.

plus Google "The Family" and it's hit after hit on that name - and they are not on the first page. Not going to be easy to find if you casually look for it after hearing about them.

i will say it really does not matter i love their music anyway but fdeluxe is easier to remember.
