The guy who posted the video said it was in 1986, but it has to be 1987. Anyway, I just LOVE Vanity's look in this appearance-the hair, makeup and that dress all look great on her IMO. She had such a unique sense of style. I love how she came up with the idea for the dress instead of wearing a designer name brand outfit like the celebs do these days...

She brings her sister up on stage, mentions her engagement to Nikki Sixx, and talks about her arrest in Part I. Part II is not up on youtube...

Thanks for sharing this video, Vanity was a hot mess back then. I'm sure that her sister didn't want her personal business with Eddie Murphy put out there like that. It's clear that Vanity was on drugs at that time in her life. How embarassing.

Not sure about the sister though-as Patty wanted to be famous too and dating a celeb is a great entry route . She later got a cameo in "Coming To America" too

but yeah Vanity's obsession with an abandoned house, laughing off the arrest and just saying "that's heavy" did show she was nuts.

She is my all time favorite Prince women. She had it all sex appeal, Charisma, body, exotic looks, rhythm .....They don't make many women with all of that in one anymore. All the talk show host just loved to interview her just to look at her. Especially Johnny Carson.
