I think the groove is hot.....a slick Minneapolis funk groove that sizzles The only problem with the song is Vanity's atrocious vocals.She does some odd things with her voice on this song,lol.

It sounded like a bad Prince rip off with awful vocals and lyrics added to it.

I love Vanity and enjoy Vanity 6, but damn, this track is just a jumbled mess.

^ Yep I agree.... the beat is hot..and Day's vocals are nice but I haattttee when Vanity did that extra high, wispy kind of singing like on Pretty Mess. Just weird.

Her vocals on the 'Wild Animal' album are embarassingly bad Alot of high-pitched squealing going on."Crazy Maybe" is especially cirngeworthy.I notice that on her next album 'Skin On Skin',the vocals are a little better.That's because Motown took more control,they picked the songs and producers...they really supervised the recording of that album.

Yep definately agreee. On some tracks I really cant take her vocals.

Skin on Skin is the buisness. Many single worthy tracks. I'm just addicted to adding as many associated artists as I can possibly find to my Prince & Co. collection. Some albums are gems and some not so much. But it's all part of the history so collect I shall
