As far as I knew, the 12-inch of The Glamorous Life just had parts I and II on it and didn't have the club edit. Is that true, or am I wrong about that?

And if it wasn't on the 12-inch, was it just created for the CD release?

The 1984 US 12" had Club Edit as the A-Side and Part II as the B-Side.

Ah, thanks. I really had no idea about this. I even thought I remembered looking at the 12-inch back in 1984 and deciding against buying it because it was just the album version. Guess I was wrong!

You can never have enough copies of the album version which remains the pan-ultimate one Still waiting for it to be remastered some day...

I always figured that the Club Edit was precisely that- a re-edit of the full album version that made it more DJ-friendly (e.g. giving it a mixable intro and such). The full album version is the jam, but I like the Club Edit as well because it tightens the funk up a bit.
