I was flicking through the vault book and I noticed the entry for Mavis Staples had an Extended version.

I have a 12inch with a Fercious mix and also a non titled 7.10 remixed version which I always took to be the extended version I've seen refered to before, but it doesn't include a version titled Extended.

The vault entry mentions the 7.10 remix version, the fercious mix and also the extended version but I've never seen another 12 inch which lists this.

So is there an actual extended version other than the remixes?

If there is I need it cause I love that song.

I love this song.

I have really hung on this cd throughout the years because I always felt it would be hard to replace if I lost it.

But I never felt this song fit her, its too Princy for her classy self.

As far as I can tell, Jaguar Extended/Remix/Non-Differentiated are all the same 7:10 song. Commercially, it seems the longer song was not given a particular title, though PrinceVault.com says the 7:10 version on a promo is "Remix".

I've never been able to distinguish between the Extended Version and the Ferocious mix.

but to be fair, I don't think I've ever listened to either of them beyond the first 20 seconds to try to figure it out.

yeah, the lyrics don't really go with mavis, still a cool song.
