The other day I was in a book shop where I spotted "Tommyland", Tommy Lee's book. I had got wind, from this very site, that Mayté had been engaged to him so I started reading the sex-drug-alcohol-addicted and convicted guy's autobiography. I was just about to put the book down (thanks to the horrific writing) when I saw a chapter regarding Mayté. I had this view of an innocent, gracious and bland personality Mayté so I was pretty shocked by what I read!

I was excited and maybe naive, but tin my heart, I thought nothing else of it. At one point during the day, her sister left to do an errand and Mayté and I took a walk out to my koi pond where we sat and talked for hours. (...) She lived with me and lived in my house. She was amazing to my kids- she treated my boys like they were her own. they still ask about her- all the time. (...) Mayté and I had an amazing relationship. We also had our own language in which we talked like a couple of strange europeans. She's puerto rican so she did that accent to the fullest and I'd answer her with my best slimy greek guy imitation. People didn't know what the fuck was up with us. I'd say "Hhello my leete, whaat arrrre u doing?" and she'd say: "Nuthing papii. I waant to suhhk jour dickk."

(...) I don't think Mayté ever got over losing her first child. She had always wanted to be a mom and that was the only problem we had in our relationship. She wanted children right away. The timing was terrible for us. She was constantly talking about having kids while I was fighting to keep mine.

He then proceeds to talk about how she would argue with him and how she knew what she was doing in the studio.

That chapter really broke some walls for me. Mayté comes across as a strong willed woman full of personality. The complete opposite of the woman she apparently was while with P. I also had no idea that she is pratically obsessed with having kids and wasn't so, err, innocent.

Mayte was around 16 when she & Prince met, maybe younger & 22 when they married! She was just a young girl, & she was very innocent looking( especially dressed as a princess in the My Name is Prince clip). By the time Prince & Mayte split she had grown up & matured into a woman so you really can't compare what she was like with Prince to what she was like with Tommy!

How different are you now from when you were a teen/ early twenties? Unless your still at that age in which case wait until your nearer to 30 & then see if you havn't changed or evolved!

That was when I first caught wind that they were dating and I was shocked when they were in the limosine and he says something about how he was tired and going back to the hotel to go to bed and Mayte gets in a huff and says something like, "Excuse me? What about sex?" And then he starts apologizing to her and trying to make it up by telling her he'll take her shopping, does anyone else remember this? That totally changed how I saw her- I mean, I know new couples have sex but I had always seen her as very sweet, and not the type to be discussing her sex life on some MTV documentary- Maybe I'm naive but I'm 38 years old and not a prude but I wouldn't have said that on camera!

P.S. Not to mention that no matter how sweet and adorable Tommy Lee is and how charming he can be, I wouldn't touch him with a ten foot pole considering the tons and tons of scags he's been shagging over the last 20 plus years- Does no one worry about diseases anymore? When she married Prince she was all grown up, not that much older when she was dating Tommy Lee. And she was skanky anyways...look at how she dressed and danced when she was performing with the NPG. Sorry, all the grooming in the world couldn't make a decent young lady act or dress like a$2 whore unless they wanted to. She deserved to be with Tommy, that's the kind of trampy women he goes after.
