Mavis Mavis Staples was on The Kennedy Center Awards broadcast tonight. She sang "Let It Be" during the Paul McCartney tribute along with some other folks. Maybe someone will post it on Youtube. A couple of my friends are sad that they missed it. Never trust anything spoken in the presence of an erection.

I love Mavis. She sang with Bob Dylan on one of his songs too. They had been friends since Dylan's folk music days. | |
