Larry Graham praise (for a change)

I saw the Madison Square Garden show. Larry made a fan of me. He was awesome on stage. Very positive always smiling. He is a beast on the bass! I literally went and bought his greatest hits. Hair is great. I have heard Jam sampled a million times at least. Good stuff. I don't know why there is so much negative about him.

Larry Graham bow

I LOVE me some Larry!!! I don't care what any of these haters say. I was excited to see that he would be at one of the shows I was attending. He was excellent at MSG. He's got so many jams. I actually could have heard him play a little longer. And there are no word to describe him on bass. He is that instrument. He is a LEGEND!!

He was fantastic with Prince at Paisley last year, too. The two of them have great synergy onstage.

Haters can hate all they want...it is what it is. shrug

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

I don't know if anyone has ever argued that Larry is not a good musician.

People have posted things like, "Larry sucks" rolleyes

Some people posted that they did not want to hear him play Saturday night... How anyone could deny that degree of funk is beyond me! doh!

I enjoyed him at Madison Square pure uncut funk ball. The melody of Sly Stone jams was on point!

I recognize Larry as a tremendous talent, a pioneer of funk, a teacher and a charming individual. I believe Larry probably saved Prince's life,. However when I go to a Prince concert, I don't want to hear anything from Larry Graham. I'm just not that moved by Larry's music. To me it's just not the same vibe as Prince.

I LOVE Larry! I so wished he had performed at the IZOD shows. I can think of a couple people I would have traded in for a Larry performance.

Prince is GORGEOUS. I'm inspired. GOD is GREAT. Is there anything else to say? lol

People's so called negative comments about Graham has nothing 2 do with his skills as a musician.

Larry was phenomenal Saturday night. Period. His set was on fire. And that funk was killer.

True. It has to do with Prince's decision to be a JW.

But many people don't want to hold that decision over Prince...so they blame Larry.

I've met Larry. Larry tried to talk JW with me. I said "I'd prefer not to talk about that."... and *SHOCK* he moved on and we chatted about a ton of other stuff.

It was THAT simple.
