Alot of the info on wikipedia is inaccurate Anyone can go there and submit details.I don't believe that those people (whoever they are) played on the first Time album.

Haven't heard of them. Strange! The expanded version of my book PRINCE and The Purple Rain Era Studio Sessions 1983-1984 was released in November 2018. (www.amazon.com/gp/product/1538114623/ref=dbs_a_def_rwt_bibl_vppi_i0) or www.facebook.com/groups/1...104195943/

The sole* musician on the first Time album is Prince.
*This from The Vault book..... Prince plays more or less everything on the album, Dr Fink delivers synth solos on "Get It Up" and "The Stick" while Lisa Coleman delivers some backing vocals.

There is an older band called "Time" and also a group named "The Tymes". Maybe those credits belong to one of those groups. There's a R&B group from the 70's named "Wham". This group sued the George/Andrew "Wham!" and this is why their debut album was credited "Wham! UK" when 1st released in the USA. There's several groups called "Poison", the most famous being the 80's glam rock band. There is a jazz group named "Gap Band" in addition to the Wilson brothers group. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton
