Dez is the most underrated refugee of the Prince camp. He is also the best guitarist Prince ever had. Pick up his solo CD, Oneman, and dig what he can do when he has the room to stretch out in his own guitar driven format. Jesse Johnson did the same thing with his last CD, Bare My Naked Soul. They both took up the rock guitar spirit that did not always have a place in the funk music that they did in the early 80s.

Dig the City Lights set to hear Dez live on the Dirty Mind, Controversy, and 1999 tours. If I am not mistaken, he played the short, but memorable, solo on Litte Red Corvette as well. I will go check the liner notes.
