Are you serious?! Of course, there's a difference! Even the law recognizes it - that's why it's illegal to have sex with someone who is under the age of 18. And why, in many states, if the other party is more than two years older than said 17-year-old, there are penalty enhancers for the illegal sexual activity.

Prince knew that. Why do you think there was a big point made (in the cases of Anna and Mayte, most notably) of his not taking their virginity until they turned 18?

Chasing younger women is not unusual for most men but there is a line. Certain types of men have control issues and date younger women for manipulative purposes. That's when you see 40 year old men with 20 year old girlfriends.

People aren't jealous when they see this; they are disgusted.

Occasionally, there is a rare May-December connection that happens between people but by and large, men who date young ass girls are predators or control freaks or both. It does ring of "you can't handle a real women so you date girls."

In the US, he could not have an under-age girlfriend. I don't know about Ana, but Mayte was born here in the US (even if she had been born in Puerto Rico, that, too is part of the US; not a separate country), so even if an American girl he likes is under-age and living in another country (Mayte was there b/c her dad is/was in our military), she's still an American citizen, and as a minor, it would have been a crime for him to bed her (in any country).

and, also, maybe he does have some morals regarding that (age)

I recall that a girl/woman can get married before she is 18 with her parents consent. Mayte's parents O.K.'d her moving to paisley park when she was 17 so had prince married her then he would have done nothing unlawful. Bo Derek moved in with John Derek at 16 and I don't think her parents pressed charges. She married him, to my knowledge well before she was 18 and he was well into his 40's at the time. A very big part of this picture is not the girls but the parents of the girls and their beliefs etc.

Eric Benet is one of the best singers of his generation. His first album was pure magic. I remember seeing him in concert the first time and he was just starting out with the first album. He was opening for Erykah Badu and he about upstaged the headliner. His voice had the entire crowd crying during his passionate singing over his girlfriend/baby mama that had died in a car accident in "while you were here". He's no Prince, but if we hold singers to that standard, there would be no good artists out there to like. Remember it was Halle Berry who was a fan of him. She was the crazed stalker that wanted to meet him, not the other way around. Dude had fame regardless if your mother's coworker's cousin's babysitter knew of him.

I did not hear that. He was one HOT brother... whooo heee, in a MANLY kind of way... ya know what I'm saying? I saw that interview he had on Oprah when he was single parent of a young daughter.... they looked so vulnerable, yet strong unit... a survivor of the loss of the mom in that little family. You just wanted Eric to find someone special enough to join that little family unit.

I will say this... over the years I have heard rumors about how Halle can be a real trip, lots of drama. I mean she has been a loser of lover over and over again. It can't ALL be the men... right? she has some role in the failures as well. So I have stopped feeling so harsh about Eric's reported infidelities. Cheating is not to be excused... but if there were extenuating circumstances, it can be understood.

Eric Benet sings R&B better than Prince does. Prince is a more versatile singer. Eric has a purer voice.
