I was indifferent as far as the Twins go. Didn't love them, didn't hate them. Didn't get excited at their arrival onstage, wasn't annoyed by it either. But I did REALLY like the idea of Prince having twins (who actually looked like each other) around all the time. It felt a bit like a throwback to older times. "Prince with two women.. and they're twins!" lol But for some reason the Twins themselves just weren't that interesting to me. Indifferent.

Interesting that, as far as we know, they didn't record in the studio with him (producing). Weren't they aspiring singer/songwriters when he "discovered" them?

I will never forget having them shake there butts in my face all of those nights in Las Vegas. What a wonderful sight, especially when they turned around and gave a little wink afterwards. biggrin

Again, look at how good they looked together in past performances.

In a picture, sure. On stage, their vocals were scary and their choreography, amateurish.

Gotta agree with that. To me, they were just plain annoying, especially when they would flip their hair around. That used to drive me crazy. rolleyes Good riddance, I say! Prince doesn't need them.

RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

I've never minded any of Prince dancers from Cat to the Twinz. They served their purpose with him and it'd be cool to see him work with some of them again. I have noticed that Princes female fanbase generally can't stand many of the dancers. Wonder why?

Speaking for myself personally (as a female Prince fan), I didn't mind Cat, Diamond & Pearl, or Mayte when they were dancers for Prince. Heck, even Geneva had her moments. But the Twinz never did anything for me. As someone else said, they were a distraction. Their dancing just looked awkward and clumsy, in my honest opinion.

RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

I remember when his wardrobe assistant dragged that jacket across the parking lot at the Empire Ballroom. Good times... touched

Do you remember seeing Prince standing at the back door of the club asking how we were all doing? Then that woman yelled how fine he was and he looked like he got scared and disappeared behind the door. I know he was not really scared but that facial expression was priceless, he can be so funny sometimes.

I say it, no other dancers would replace the effect of Cat and Sheila E on stage with Prince during the lovesexy tour, as far as I'm concerned. Cat could dance. Sheila E also had a real body. Both could fire the stage by their beauty, fierce, charisma and don't-mess-with-me attitude biggrin I never found any other female who could rise to their levels...wink

I loved Cat even more on the Sign o the Times tour, I love that peach outfit

Yeah, the thing I love about Cat above all the others is that her moves and dances were inspired/created to Prince music. Cat was a part of the band in a way no other dancers could be.

Plus she came in the camp with the Purple Rain was still electric

Sheila being a purple princes who was totally bathed in the Purple Rain success can't help but to be untouchable. It's one of the reasons people go crazy when they see her performing with Prince

sorry, but bouncing breasts and skimpy clothing on stage reminds me of strippers and does nothing for me. personally, when i see them i just want them off the stage so they don't distract from my ability to actually watch the musicians do their thing.

question answered?

I have to agree! I didn't mind Cat, she was really good and actually added to the performances though. I personally come to hear good music and see Prince, not half naked women prancing around on the stage in trashy clothes.

The Twinz weren't too bad, I just didn't think they were that pretty! Kinda of weird looking, and they weren't that great of dancers. But they weren't that distracting, and they were dressed ok. So if anybody were to return, it could be them. I can't say I miss them though. confused

I hate to say it, but Mayte was a mess on stage! I never thought she was that good a dancer, but it was her slutty clothes that annoyed me! I have to pretty much fast forward through all her performances with Prince when the kids are around because most of the time her ass cheeks were hanging out! mad

Prince is GORGEOUS. I'm inspired. GOD is GREAT. Is there anything else to say? lol

All of P's women are fine. They all added a unique twist and persona to P. The Twinz added to Prince's image because they provided P with a more youthful expression and existence. The Twinz are just simple, they aren't complex to figure out at all. All they had to do is just stand there and smile.
