Josh and Cora vs. Ida and Blackwell

those of you who heard the new concerts and those done by Dunham rhythm section

which is better for Prince's sound and you like more?

For me it's Blacwell and Ida

reasons: Josh sounded almoust inaudiable. It was the first time

Prince's music lost the bass bottom.

Ida is a heavy funk thumping groover .

It seems to me that John Blakwell push Prince's guitar

playing to be more virtuoso which i dig.

Cora is great but nothing compared to John.

Ida & Blackwell, without question.

Reason? If you have ears you don't need one.

wink

Good luck to Josh & Cora, but Blackwell is where it's at.

vitriol

Even if I don't quite like Ida's playing, give me Ida & Blackwell any day of the week.

Send Josh & Cora to music school in the meantime.

Ida and John Blackwell with time and proper rehearsal can have a similar strong sound to Rhonda Smith and Narada Michael Walden in Jeff Beck's band.

There is a soundcheck out there in uh, space from a few days back and "Let's Work" and "777" don't sound right and all of that harmonica in everything makes it sound like a very funky trip to Sesame Street.

Having said all that though, it will be kewl to see P if he does a full length tour and of course the situation with MJ makes me say let's just enjoy everyone while they are here.

HERE

Its two different experiences though drums are the heart and bass is the blood of music. J and C are lovers which gives another dimension but lately I really dig the danish dynamite ! Go Ida ! And John is three funky and tight if not four or five !
PEACE LOVE & PRINCE
