Bobby Z had influence on Prince as much as Wendy and Lisa I know that the title of the thread sounds crazy but i'll state my facts and it's just my opinion. Orgers often diss Bobby ,some say he isn't a good drummer which is not true. Wendy and Lisa brought susspended chords and some unique sound textures. Bobby gave a bottom to Prince's music. On the late Controversy tour Prince started using drum machines and electronic drums. Listen to the latter Controvery tour dates you will notice addition of drum machines.
One rehearsal day Bobby Z came to the rehearsal and there was a drum machine. Prince told Bobby to see what he can do with drum machine. Bobby started working and experimenting with drum machine sounds maybe along with his brother David Rivkin and it influenced the way Prince started to program drum machine on his records. Also on the live shows it was Bobby who was managing all the drum machine sounds in combination with live drumming. He was having the hardest task because at those days it wasn't easy to incorporate drum machines with bigger sucess because of the potencial mistakes in a live setting So Wendy and Lisa gave a melodic harmonic content and Bobby gave the rhythmic part of the music.

No i don't Only if you think that Wendy and Lisa are groundbreaking musicians who contributed to Prince's music so much that he would be the star he was meant to be. Those two girls added a few chords like every other band members did. Do you know how big impact Rhonda Smith had on Prince . He changed his bass style to a more suptile and sophisticated(check bass solo on Everywhere)
Every musician who was with Prince added something to his music. Bobby had much bigger influence on the beats of the songs. Bobby worked with Prince on making some of those trade mark linn drum that made his sound so characteristic. Wendy was there for only three years. Bobby was there for almost 10 years (1978-1986)
What was the first thing you noticed in songs from golden Prince era Susspend chords?
maybe in Purple Rain but it was the beats created by Prince and influencd by Bobby , maybe he did have participation in the actual programing of the songs in studio. I know that Bobby programmed all the stuff for live shows. In a big way Bobby Z influenced Minneapolis sound ,Matt Fink also song Dirty Mind, those classic synth lynes are Matts composition. Without Wendy and Lisa you maybe wouldn't have Paradish sounds they brought but without Bobby Minneapolis sound of Prince maybe wouldn't be the same. That guy gets much less credits then he deservse to.

I feel you 100%.
That's why P kept Bobby on the payroll for years after the Revolution broke up. She has robes and she has monkeys, lazy diamond studded flunkies....

Bobby Z is that dude and I do agree with that he had a influence on Prince as much as Wendy and Lisa. If I recalled, Bobby was the one who introduced Prince 2 the Linn Drum machine. The Revolution was a strong influence on Prince. Bobby, Lisa, Wendy, Matt, Dez, Mark, etc. all had an influence on Prince, the artist.

As you said, this is just your OPINION. Not back by any kind of actual facts.
And I strongly disagree.
