Maceo playing baby knows ? I was attending a Maceo parker concert yesterday in Strasbourg, France. It was wery dynamic and Maceo is cool.
A lot of people in the crowd where talking about Prince especially when then saw a very small microphone on stage : "is Prince going to play etc ?". the microphone was actually for maceo's saxophone.
I felt like he played a instrumental version of baby knows maceo played on rave but it still felt strange that among all the great prince songs he would choose that one from that album. Any hint ? Is there a funk standard or a maceo song that has a riff similar to the one in "Baby knows" ?

Cool sound, and it very well could be. I love Maceo and Baby Knows. I think it'd be so fine to see Maceo playing with Prince again, I've really have been missin the brass. 
He is known to play Baby Knows and Prettyman often in his set.
