True NPGers will know of this video that was released back in 92. It is a low budget affair with what looks like home recordings of all the little people Prince left behind in Mpls. THey talk to Chris Moon (who is the one believeable person on this thing) and the guy at the First Avenue (who was trying to be nonchalant but no one would know about his place if it were not for Prince).

My less-than-glowing remarks for Pepe Willie and the rest of those hangers on from Prince's early days are verified by total lack of any grip on reality that is displayed by Chazz, Prince's cousin. You can look at his appearance and tell that the poor brother is stuck in the 70s. Listening to him and Pepe recall shit that happened almost 15 years ago is sad. In one scene, they all are standing outside a abandoned theater where Prince did his first showcase trying desperately to aligned themselves with the event even though none of them were with Prince at that point.

It is fun to listen to the stories and try to figure out how much truth is in them. Since I have a reluctant interest in Prince parasites, I would say that it is an interesting document if you can find it.

Yeah!. Chris Moon is the only person on there who isn't talking BS! (well that was my impression as well). I found the video interesting, but the sound quality is so poor, I have to turn the TV up to full volume just to hear an audible voice. The funniest part is when Pepe claims to have called his dog RINCE - cause it's PRINCE without the P!. I can't help but feel sorry for poor old Chazz though whose drum kit was stolen by Morris Day, effectively symbolising his firing from the group!. If you're a full on Prince fan, check it out just for historical value.
