It's rainy and I'm bored, which means I've got nothing better to do than start silly org threads. So bear with me and enjoy it, because straight or gay, I think everyone here can appreciate the wonder that is the signature Sheila E. outfit: the one-legged wonder.

It's a clothing-engineering marvel, it seems. And apparently it was a cocreation of both Sheila and her good friend Patti LaBelle. When these two women put their heads together, they came up with something very, very cool.

Sheila loved it so much she ordered it in a variety of colors (sorry for the crappy screen grabs). She had it in pinkish/purplish:

She had it in sassy black, which Jay Leno and the late, great Patrick Swayze obviously appreciated:

And of course there is the classic white:

So who else loves it? Give it up!

She sure had a great body !

She still looks great and much better than most women half her age.

I'm pretty sure this photo is flipped. In all the leg-exposing outfits she has, it's always the right leg that's out and the left that's covered. And her name was usually backward (which is how she signs her autographs).

The pic is from a poster sold on the Lovesexy tour, just dug mine out and that is how the poster was. However, I agree that her stuff is usally backwards. She signed an autograph for me.

I've always believed (and will until Sheila comes clean) that get-up was a mistake. Meaning, she was trying it on with her heels on and, SPLIT!! It was the greatest mistake ever made though.

i knew be4 clicking on this, that these pics would be of Sheila with one leg out. (that is what I called this design/style of clothes. And yes, I loved it. Still think it is a hot look.

Way better than Prince's ass out pants.

One of the things I love about the SOTT look is that it's composits of other eras
