Who else would luv to see a Best of album by Vanity? Seeing as her autobiography is now available, now would be a great time to release this. It could even be accompanied with her music videos and TV performances of her songs on DVD.

The track choices are more about the taste of the intended audience, personally I love 'Crazy Maybe'.

The two Vanity albums are brilliant IMO. Seriously.

Love the Idea and please include some sessions she did with Jesse Johnson & Jam & Lewis that was planned as her 3rd solo release was gearing up when Action Jackson movie was HOT @ the theaters @ the time, I'm sure there are some unreleased nuggets hidden away some where. Also NouveauDance i love your track list.....AWESOME.

I'd be happy if stupid Motown would just put the two damn albums on iTunes in clear, crisp digital format, but they haven't even done that.

Reel Music is planning some Motown surprises for later this year. I'm hoping these surprises include the reissue of Vanity's two Motown albums on CD!!!

that cd would really suck. Vanity was not good at all musically.

I already have a Vanity greatest hits album with most of those songs you mentioned. Along with a few Vanity 6 songs. I just went over to this website called poppalace.com and requested a Vanity mix and he worked with me he even made an album cover for me. Check it out.

Absolutely no one but Prince fans would by a Vanity CD at this point. And they would be old Prince fans who can even remember her. Unfortunately, the market is so small forher music that it would be prudent to spending money on releasing the albums

But Motown could at least put the songs on iTunes so that people can have the songs in clear digital format - that's easy enough. Then they wouldn't have to pay for packaging and printing and all that.

Nonsense. How can u make a best of out of TWO albums + a few non-album singles.

Make it a rerelease of both albums with bonus tracks instead

Both albums are knocking about in flac if you have a look.

As pointed out, this is unlikely to happen.

Well, you'd have to tell me where to take a look because I haven't been able to find them, just crappy vinyl rips where you can hear static and hiss.

Well of course if the titles were reissued, they would do so using one of these specialty reissue labels. We've all seen titles and artists way more obscure than Vanity getting reissues. I think her two albums would sell quite well.

Believe it or not there are singers who have released a 'Best of' album even though they have only made 2 albums. One example is Martika and there are more that I can't think of right now.
