Bunker's last night.
I tried to see the Dr. Mambo Combo last night (Michael Bland is the drummer in the group). I was so disappointed not by the group itself but by the staff around. First, when I came in, the lady at the door didn't even look at me, she almost tore my 20 dollars bill while still talking to someone else and gave me my change. Then, I go and sit nicely at the bar and noticed the crowd was for about 50 years old and older. No smile, no HI, no interaction... pretty quiet. I even left before they started as that drunk wouldn't leave me alone. Sorry but this was my last experience at Bunker's. I'll try to find some Funk music somewhere else.

Sunday & Monday nights r Mombo's nights..and the are usaully jumping. Perhaps it seemed the crowd was mainlty a bunch of middle agers, if u are w/in your 20's, yet I can assure u..there are all ages out at BUNKERS, grooving 2 the funky tunes of Mombo's each & every Sunday & Monday night! Prince shows up occasionally when in town..as far as the staff is concerned, well everybody has a bad day or two..tis' life..don't u agree. | |
