I posted this before but it was kinda ignored. And yes, this is all speculation on my part.

A few years ago (2004 or 2005? it was a couple of years before Salma had Valentina) I was having work done on my car. Magazine in the waiting room had Salma on the cover and I read the article, all about her past, etc. She talked about wanting to have a baby and not feeling that she needed to get married. "I'm an independent woman" was the feeling you got from her and she did make a point about her biological clock, blah, blah, blah.

Little while after reading that, she directs the "Te Amo Corazon" video and I hear she's hanging out with Prince but they're just friends. A few years later she has a baby and marries some ancient dude.

Still nothing to put them together until Prince drops MPLSound and "Valentina". Sure, the song could be a joke, but some of the lyrics make me wonder, namely "sho as yo daddy's ugly..." Straight disrespectful, not funny and rather personal.

Also, at the end of "Old School Co" he makes another reference to Valentina (paraphrased) "tell yo mama I'm busy...77 Beverly Park just gets better with time". Anyone know what that song's about? Also listen to "There'll Never B Another Like Me". Can't remember the lyrics (the song is dreadful IMO, therefore rarely listened to) but I think they fit my Salma-Prince fantasy theory.

So, here's my opinion:

Salma wanted Prince to father her baby and he said no. She wanted those genius genes for her baby, no strings attached, but the new JW Prince wasnt having it...but he still wanted Salma and pined for her on MPLSound and Lotus.

Lots of conjecture and holes in my theory, I know, but I would love to ask both of them what was up. I think the look on their faces would tell all.

I think Valentina is a funny song but he seems to be a bit angry because he mentions Penelope as well like a sulky little boy.

I rather think that he always wanted Salma but she was never interested in a relationship with Prince.

I think Prince is a little too black for Salma. I think Salma has a 'white guy' only policy, not there is anything around with that, just preference. There probably only just friends.

Well, there's part of my argument going down in flames...still, I think something was up.

I think they both have always admired each other just as Alicia Keys and Prince's admiration. Prince was and is JW, he would even consider a woman that is of the Catholic faith or otherwise during that time or
