thanks for sharing these 1 thing people forget is that Denise is an artist and is very creative visually. She used to sell surrealistic paintings that she would paint as a hobby around Hollywood back when she was Vanity. She also designed her own unique and often crazy outfits.

anyway, without giving away too much, could you tell us if Denise drops any bombshells in the book, or mentions scandals she or others were involved in? I wanna see if she names names If the book is juicy I might get it.

I sent her payment for the book over a year ago. Does she have an email address where I could email her and ask her about how I could get my copy?

3. Do you think Denise is friends with Sheila now? Will she go to her SF shows? They both are very down to earth, religious people now. I wonder if their churches are similar.

Yes Denise did have surgery recently. She's doing better She was recently on Praise the Lord a TBN show, talking about her book, surgery, etcs. She looks beautiful...........You can watch her episode just go to the tbn site look for Praise the Lord archives

She had 8 surgeries. The doctors were saying she would die and gave her no hope. But she pulled through. She says she doesnt want a transplant. She's waiting for God to give her a miracle..................

In the recent audio interview she did, she said she only talks about two men in her book - Prince and God. Um, that's nice and all, but I think most people want to read about the "juicy" stuff and about her other relationships. If it's all just preaching and you have to decode everything, then I'll pass.

Denise's book arrived in the mail today!! It is a limited edition hardcover with many photos & graphics designed by Denise.. also a personally hand written "Tony, praise the lord, he loves you as do I" on the inside front cover. The 'fancy' font it is written in is beautiful, but can be quite dizzying to read.. as well. alot of the text requires 'decoding'. From what i've read so far, there is alot of expressive preaching.. but must be taken into account that is where Denise is at in this time of her life.

Out of respect, I refuse to copy any of the text from the book in this forum.

So it may have taken 2 years (I pre-ordered in 2008) but it is well worth the wait!

Much respect to Denise for pulling through her hard times.. & finally delivering the book.

Can you tell us what she writes about after leaving Prince but before her becoming born-again? If she only mentions God and Prince, what does she talk about instead of her crazy relationship with Nikki Sixx during the mid-late 80s? Does she mention her experience at Motown at all, or what happened to her career after Action Jackson?

There is no "unseen before" pic of Vanity & Prince in Denise's book.. only the one picture from the Rolling Stone cover (that has been very distorted & graphically designed by Denise)
