For once, i"ll say - he played it like the record and it was GREAT! The end solo of CryLike the Skies is etched in my mind forever! He pretty much did that live in that clip...AMAZING.

Joey that was actually a weaker version on Cry Likes the Skies. Check out some of his boots from the 94-95 time period. He rocks this song live. The solo was cut a little short.

How is saying Jesse is a better guitarist than Prince bashing Prince? He didn't say Prince sucked; he just said Jesse is better. I think he is, too.

He wouldn't be here on Prince.org in the associated artists section - true, but its not like Prince taught Jesse how to play or mentored him as a guitarist. Jesse was already a great guitar player - that's why Prince hired him in the first place.

A story goes when Jesse auditioned for The Time (after being recommended by some bandmembers), Prince was very quick convinced after hearing just a few chops from JJ.

If it were stevevai.org, I'm sure they would also make comparisons - but its not. No surprise there. With or without comparing the two, Jesse is an excellent musician.

Enough with the subliminal stuff already, show me where in this thread did I compare Prince to Jesse or make the claim that he was better?

You did exactly what I mentioned in my first comment.

If you 'know' that Jesse is so good (obviously he is a beast) then why do you have to keep reminding others than "versatility doesnt make up for proficiency" etc etc.

It seems like you(anyone with the fuck prince/jesse rules attitude) feel the need to take on another mans insecurity that probably doesnt even exist in the first place

I don't do "subliminal". I've been on this board a long time. I've always been direct and everbody that knows me on here knows this. I have ONE username and I have no problems being direct because I believe the truth is what it is and if it hurts feelings or egos; too bad. It changes nothing. When I say "fanbots", I am referring to a lot of people. They know who they are. If you think its you, then maybe it is. It depends on how you view yourself.

Its a big world out here with a lot of talented people in it.
