I remember when I bought that album last year (for the Prince music only of course) the girl at the counter looked at me and laughed and said she bought this back in '93 cause she thought he was cute. I told her that I was buying it because Prince was on it. Then she just looked at me as if I was weird of something. Don't you just hate that being a Prince fan?. Paris 1798430, Funky.

He is reported to have performed on New Year's Eve at the Hotel Nile, Kampala, in Africa, and was subsequently held with his mother at the Hotel Africana over unpaid bills.

It's so tragic because Tevin is really an amazing vocalist. But his sex scandal is gonna prevent him from ever making a real comeback.Usher has pretty much taken his place in the R&B world.

Tevin was Doomed way before that Episode.I think the Cat can Sing/Sang better than many out here now but He had that Boyz11Men Syndrome:only as good as what was presented.Yeah he had the Big Names given him Material but only Narada Michael Walden truly challenged Him IMHO as a Singer. His Image was called into question back when the video for "Can we Talk" aired.a Comedian on Def Comedy Jam was letting Him have the blues behind that&others have as well.Tevin was presented as far more Classy Singer than Usher.Usher was presented too Content with Sisqo&Ginuwine.Tevin was precieved like a MJ but with a more Adult flavoring.

Tevin Campbell a Prince protege? I always thought that he was discovered by Quincy Jones. Before Graffitti Bridge I remember Tevin recorded the Q produced song "Tomorrow." He had the sweetest voice.

LOS ANGELES (AP) Wednesday November 10, 1999

Singer Tevin Campbell was ordered to attend Narcotics Anonymous meetings and an AIDS awareness class after pleading no contest to soliciting a lewd act from an undercover policeman.

Campbell, 22, also was fined $1,080 Monday for the misdemeanor conviction stemming from his July 8 arrest, Assistant City Attorney Richard Schmidt said.

Campbell was ordered to return to court Feb. 7 with proof he has completed the drug rehabilitation and AIDS education requirements of his sentence.

Campbell - the rhythm-and-blues singer who gained fame at age 13 with his debut album "T.E.V.I.N." -- was arrested in a police sting outside Van Nuys Elementary School.

gosh were has the time gone and what the hell is going on with tevin. the last time i saw him he was at glam slam la with a pretty little girl. he was still in his teens then. my mom was at the club and i told her he was there and she said what the hell is he doing in here. he has no damn business in here. after i stopped laughing i told her he was a celebrity and he could do that. but she said i don't give a damn he ain't got no business in here. now picture your mom saying that in her mom's attitude voice. i still laught telling that story. we all had a feeling he was gay, but i was sure he could've handled his business without getting in trouble.

what about some of the others? What is Ingrid Chavez doing now? Elisa Furrillo? Mica Paris? Jill Jones? Seems to me that the only ones who are doing well are Sheila E and Wendy and Lisa.

I agree with David and Uptown...Tevin's voice has always been amazing...he was really given a beautiful gift...

All I know about Ingrid is that she and David Slyvian(spelled right?) got married within 2 months of meeting each other in 1991 (correct me if I'm wrong). David was looking for a female vocalist to appear on his project and she apparently sent him her album and he loved her voice. David ended up moving to Minneapolis to stay with her. They got married and now have 3 children. I believe they live in Napa Valley, CA now. Ingrid and David co-write David's albums and she lays down vocals on some tracks.

No, I have been one for more than 20 years and I loved every day of it. I, like Prince, dont let anyone punk me into doubting myself or what I like or what is god and true in this world. That is what Prince's genius is for me.
