It's a "love song"....simply beautiful....she even does Spanish translation (I really like that!). I wish the song were on her Elixer CD. Bria really has a beautiful voice....this song surely validates it.

What do you know, a D.O.B.! Bria is 36 if indeed she is born in June. That means she is younger then Mayte but older than Manuela and that unlike Heffner, Prince's women are NOT getting younger and younger. I am very glad about that.

About Bria as a soloist I have much to say but not the time right now. I'll get back in here soon.

I don't think people hate the girl 4bjb she just doesn't have a strong enough voice to be a soloist. Think about it.

She is just as photogenic as plenty of women that have gotten contracts, xtina, Brittany, Rianna, Katey Perry, etc but she never got one. Why?

She spent plenty of years in L.A. so it wasn't like she was hidden in Scottland like Susan Boyle.

She has a parent,dad, as a musical mentor who certainly had connections that Susan Boyle lacked.

She is was more then willing to show some skin, as a certain video of her slipping off a silky blue kimono showed. What was underneath was alot more attractive then what Susan has and certainly she's not as matronly as Susan Boyle. So she has the f@#kability factor in her favor.

She was raised in Minneapolis which is a musical city.

She stayed in LA until last year so she was there at least 10 years.

She did work in the industry so she made her face known and wasn't hiding out.

So why, Oh why was she never picked up until Prince came along?

There are only a few possiblities.

She has no stage presence.

She has stage fright

Her voice is very inferior to what we hear in studio recordings.

Her voice, although pretty, is too blah to sell albums.

I did as Prince asked. I listened to her CD "all the way through" countless times just to give her a chance and truthfully, I think she is back-up singer material only. She is a great sexy coo-er. Her voice was suited well to Immersion. However there were many tracks on Elixer that I thought would be so much stronger if they were sung by a more powerful voice with a greater range.

I am not saying that Bria can't sing a note. What I am saying is that if you were to book a small venue and try to sell tickets to a show of Bria's the only people that would come were people in her family and those that believed that they might get a glimpse at Prince or that Prince might infact take the stage. She is a back-up singer, and that is better that a burger flipper but not exactly celebrity material.

So they posted a 15 year old song? It sounded nice, very sugar sweet. But is old material all we'll get to hear? And yeah Des, it's true, the girl has been the same age for several years

I'm not a person who hates an other one for small reasons

She is alright in my eyes, and if Prince thinks so everything is okay.

BUT she did an album with imo good songs and possibly an other singer/protogé would do

the best of it but Bria didn't do a thing. That is what makes me aaaangry as hell.

I don't hate Bria for beeing what she is, just don't like that she did an album

to not promote it. Talking about how proud they are that they did this record is more

confusing when she never wanted to aim something with that record.

People can be really cruel, judging her badly because she hanging out with Prince and

is maybe his girlfriend. They say she is ugly, a slut, a tranny and they just say immoral

things! We cannot judge this girl in this way because the most of the org does not

know a thing about her. Everyone that met her is saying she is really friendly, pretty and

I'm also startled that Prince said to Tavis he want to introduce a new artist to the world.

He really thinks she can go far? If it would be just that she is his girlfriend, why introducing

I think he REALLY wanna put her on the music way... The only one who is confused

about starting a music career is Bria herself. In an interview she was absolutely puzzled

Prince put her cd on the package. In the Tavis interview she said that working on that

album was like in a family. Contradictory in my eyes!

It seems you're really impressed with the Spanish part. But too me, stuff like 'Mucho amore mi corazon. Siempre estoy esperando' is just as dull as the rest of those lyrics... But that's over 15 years ago, so I'm sure she would do a lot better now if she was to include some other Spanish in a song. Unless she isn't very fluent in Spanish of course...

I just care basically about music even if it is boring material like the elixer stuff

I listend to "love me" and what can I say, I'm not blown away.

It's a nice, cool style of music in my eyes but the melody is too corny, too simple.

The voice is just nothing special, she doesn't work good with her voice!

This song doesn't have any highlights for me or can stuck in someones head!

Her elixer album is better because they used a verse,hook,bridge in her songs.

Really no comparison to this OLD BRENDA FUENTES style.

I think it is no good sign when you have to listen to a song over and over and over... again

before you like it somehow.

Normally a song gets me by voice, lyric, melody or music.

I can always tell at the first listen if I could like it or not. Bria's song love me

is sadly a waste of time to listen to. Of course it is just MY oppinion.

I was in hope that this song is something good but I'm not delighted.

It is obvious that good mastering, right music, fine musicians and good

songwriters can do wonders to somebody like Bria! Prince really worked hard for Bria

that she can sound like she sounds on her elixer album. I think he told and teached

her a lot. And what she made of it it's a shame! No promo? Really? Why?

It seems like she really tried hard to get into the music business and now she got

what a lot of young singers out there would like to have, an album recorded and

written by Prince and she just did nothing. The sense escapes me.
