Wow, that´s interesting. I´m Turkish and have relatives there.....but never expected any old school Funk fans in Turkey. It´s mostly the Turks living in Europe who are into Funk. What did he play, and how did the audience respond?
Prince wanted to play in Istanbul, too, in 1993 but the concert got canceled. He used to have a large fanbase there in the 80s and 90s but today most people hardly even know him, that´s why I´m actually surprised that Larry Graham, who is probably much less known there, gave a concert in Istanbul. Rosie Gaines did a couple of concerts there, too. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?" | |

I just checked out that link you provided....so Misirli Ahmet was there, too? He´s one bad ass percussionist. He went to Egypt a couple of years ago to practise percussion, hence his name "Misirli" Ahmet. ( misirli= Egyptian). " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness!
