Shelia-E talks about Prince on Mo'Nique's Show

cool Shelia-E, looking fabulous, as usual was the surprise belated birthday guest for a outstanding, talented and cute 11 year female drummer, named Tya, who was set to play on The Mo'Nique Show yesterday with her family blues/funk band called Homemade Jamz. :sun clapping Shelia-E is Tya's idol and who she patterns her choice of instrument, style and funk approach to playing drums. Shelia-E sat on the couch and talked with the band, Mo'Nique and even stunned the group and performed with them with a killer song called "Rumors" on the show!!! Shelia-E was funny, gracious and just plain delightful as she talked about how she and Prince personally meeting, skimmed the surface about she and Prince's past collaborations and of course The Vault.. you could sense her continued appreciation, value and love for Prince during the conversation. Also, she updated, some information about her 8 year old Elevate Hope Foundation and ways individuals can support it...great unexpected treat...check it out on B.E.T. nod sun

Okay, no offense, but...four edits and Sheila E.'s name still isn't spelled right? And Mo'Nique's name is?

Cool that she was on that show, though. biggrin

Mo'nique's show need better promotion. It seems she has great musical guests on but you always hear about it after the fact. I never even see commercials for her show but I can't escape 'Keeping Up With The Joneses' promos.

Who is Shelia-E ?

Some chick from Compton who hallucinated that she worked with Prince in the 80's. She's cleaned up her act now and found God.

It would be nice if MoNique had asked Shelia about her musical roots and her foundations. Instead of asking her about Prince. Thats such a tired subject. I know Prince really put her on the map but ask about something else please.

Ugh, 'keeping up w/ the joneses' editor gets on my nerves and I haven't even watched an episode. Yeah, you're right about the lack of promotion, but isn't that the way of a lot of non-mainstream programs. I mean, unless you keep your tv locked on the station that airs the program, then you won't know what's going on with the show.

I did. Although I'm not a huge Hip-Hop fan, those were great performances. I'm watching the Chaka interview just now.

If I had to keep my TV on BET for more than one hour I'd start losing brain cells. It's tolerable in very small doses. lol

I know. I feel the same way. Mo'nique's show needs better promotion. I hate missing out on shows, like the one where Sheila E is on. Dang!!!

You are so right. I'll take this a bit further Prince would nevvvvver be seen on Mo'Nique"s (ghetto)Show. She has to put folksmon just to ask about him...she is "stupid".
