LARRY GRAHAM + GRAHAM CENTRAL STATION -- BBKINGS NYC June 16th -8 pm http://www.bbkingblues.co...gi?id=5023
For all you Larry Graham fans, I found this on the BB Kings (NYC) website: LARRY GRAHAM + GRAHAM CENTRAL STATION Tickets $45.00 Advance $50.00 Day of Show June 16th 1st NYC SHOW IN 12 YEARS Larry Graham is back! The original bassist for Sly & The Family Stone and pioneer of the slap-thumb method of bass playing is taking his group, Graham Central Station, back on the road. Graham Central Station was formed in 1973 and performed together until 1979. Graham re-formed Graham Central Station after Sly and the Family Stone’s induction into the Rock Hall of Fame in 1993 through 1998. In 1998, he recorded a solo album under the name Graham Central Station, GCS 2000. It was a collaboration between Larry Graham and Prince. While Graham wrote all the songs, except one co-written by Prince, the album was co-arranged and co-produced by Prince, and most of the instruments and vocals were recorded by both Graham and Prince. Graham also played bass on tours with Prince in 1997-2000. He appeared in Prince's 1998 VHS Beautiful Strange and 1999 DVD Rave Un2 the Year 2000. [Edited 5/26/10 8:16am]

I was at BBK last week... I want to go to this show sooooo bad!
It's the day before the last day of school/graduation, tho. I'm still thinking about it.... "Love Hurts. Your lies, they cut me. Now your words don't mean a thing. I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..." -Cher, "Woman's World"
