I think Monique has had some pretty good artists on her show lately. However, I do not think that she makes a good talk show host at all. I think she's irritating as all get out, and I think she actually "misses" opportunities to probe deeper into the guest / artist, because she feels the need to get "her" point across regarding the artist. I don't want to hate on her, but I think she'll be lucky if she has a run as long as Magic Johnson's show lasted. Monique is just a lil too old to be as ghetto acting and as loud mouth as she is. Yeah yeah, she can "keep it real" all she wants, but you don't have to behave like an idiot while you do it. And that comedian side kick that she has on her show is not funny at all. I don't know but that must be the new thing. Wanda Sykes has this drag queen side kick, and a comedian side kick and neither of them are funny at all. Perhaps they are to symbolically fill in to provide feedback like Paul Shaffer and Kevin Eubanks provide for Dave and Jay.
