BrownMark releases new cd!

You can purchase it at his website: http://www.brownmarknation.com/

If you go to the "music" tab you can hear previews of each song...
I thought the album sounded great....Good songwriting, different styles, and great bass playing...already ordered my copy!

Wow... this is REALLY bad. I at least expected good production, but the clips alone told me how poorly put together this release is. I'm a fan of Next Time and Good Feeling (which was wrongly credited as Bang Bang on his new record company's site), and I dig his productions from the late 80s too. But this sounds like a step below a demo. No disrespect, joelmarable and emilio319, but BrownMark needs some serious help here.

In all honesty, I have no reason to lie....

I already got the actual cd and have listened to it in it's entirety and it seriously kicks ass!!!!

It's an excellent blend of rock, funk, and hip-hop.... Very diverse and good songwriting. From the credits it looks like he performs everything except for the guitar solos which are performed by someone else.

I seriously think a lot of people on the org would dig it if they gave it a chance but too many people on here (generally speaking, not referring to anyone specifically) are too closed minded musically and too quick to write something off if it doesn't sound like what these guys were doing in the 80's.

The only thing negative I can say is that the cd artwork is really awful but that doesn't really matter, the music kicks ass!

I do say, that was pretty good. I like to see musicians grow musically, and BrownMark has grown and expanded his music knowledge. I like it. I think that I will buy this CD.

I got this CD yesterday and I am pleasantly surprised. It is much more rock than I expected from him. I really like this CD.

I listened to it without expectations as far as sounding like Prince or Mazerati or even Brownmarks other solo releases and IMHO there is some very quality music on there.

I think that this is great music! He has found his own way and it is good. I think a lot of people want all ex members to sound like Prince, but I'm glad that they find their own groove!

You are right. This CD does not sound like Prince (except for my baby girl which reminds me somewhat of Do me, Baby), or Mazerati or Brownmarks' first two solo releases. So if that is what you are expecting or looking for you will probably be disappointed. If you don't really like rock music you will probably be disappointed also.

But personally I really like this CD. The more I listen, the more I like. Great musicianship, melodies, some interesting vocal arraignments, just a plain good rock CD. Clutter and Skeletons are off the hook!!!!! This CD might not be for everyone but I personally am enjoying it very much!
