Which of these Prince ladies displayed the most impressive acting skills?

Yikes! How to choose from that list?

Well, Sheila's my personal favorite of the three, although I love all these ladies. And Sheila got to perform a few times in Krush Groove, and when it comes to performing, she wipes the floor with any of the other protogees. Plus, she had to call someone a "big koala bean head." It's hard to maintain one's dignity after that, but she managed it. So Sheila comes in first in this contest.

Next would be Vanity. Then would be Apples. Apples can console herself by knowing she was in by far the best movie of all three.

Apples. I think she had bigger part and did okay. Can't carry a tune but if she wasn't decent her part was so significant that a really subpar performance would have derailed the movie.

Out of the three,I think Vanity did the best job.She could truly act and if it wasn't for her drug problems,she might have had a longer,more successful career in films.

I always thought that 'Krush Groove' was hastily thrown together.It's as if they said 'Purple Rain' was a huge success last summer,so let's put together a hip-hop musical...Oh,and for good measure,let's grab a Prince protege to co-star in it",lol.The storyline is weak and it just looks like a bunch of rap videos thrown together.Even RUN-DMC later dissed this film,calling it "soft".

Sheila E. was okay in it,but it's not like she had much to do.

Oh god, The Last Dragon. It's the best martial arts film ever made...by Motown productions

Vanity is easily the best actress of the three. I still have regular dreams about what Purple Rain would have been if she had stayed on the production.

Vanity was a lead in Last Dragon
Sheila and Apples both had supporting roles in their respective films.

This is why Vanity had an acting career in addition to her singing career and pretty much became the most recognizeable of the P proteges.

So true Out of the three,Vanity had the most credibility/experience as an actress,and she was good.It wasn't a case of "another singer trying to make a movie".For a few years at least,she had a serious acting career and a few hit movies ("Action Jackson" did extremely well).
