A classic old school album where the cover is actually better than the record. Got to love it.

I'm stunted on this one. Loved this album and have it. Looked at the cover many a times. And one of my favorite ladies is on the cover. Never knew it. Thanks to bring it to our attention.

While Alligator Woman is one of my favorites, I think that Cameosis is a better album. Unfortunately, "Word Up" sorta made Cameo a caricature of itself. Larry's red cup is as much of a symbol of the 80s as Michael's glove and Prince's purple coat. I think some of their music gets overshadowed by the sensationalized image in the eyes of the general public.

That album cover is scary! The 80's were a weird (but good) time.

It is a great album but Vanity is a cover. There are few that can rival her. There are plenty of albums better than this one. Thats all I am saying. But it is a matter of opinion in the end I suppose.

wow that certainly looks like her-from the pose to the facial expression, hair and nails.

If it's not Vanity, then they found someone who did a good job of imitating her lol

I'm so sick of pop fans and younger people only remembering Cameo for that red cup. The only way for Larry to make people forget that image, since it has become so popular, is to be even more outrageous and show his dick....which would be a good thing for him to do. lol

nod

They mostly only know "Word Up" and the cod piece.

It's a shame they miss out on so much great ass shaking music.....albums like Secret Omen, Knights of the Sound Table, Keep it Hot, Cameosis, Alligator Woman, etc.....

I think the pop crowd are remembering "Word Up" and whatever he happened to be wearing in that video. He has the red codpiece in "Candy" too but people are just remembering "Word Up".

This was discussed in a thread a while back. It was concluded that this was not vanity. There was a name given along with link about the woman. I will try to track it down.
