Big NAY!!! barf

You know, there are a lot of albums by associated artists I have a soft spot for, such as Carmen Electra's and albums like Gold Nigga. Not to say that I love these albums, but every now and then I get an itching to pop in one of them and play a few tracks.

I cannot stand Ingrid's damn album. Oh man, that was so bad. Is that what was considered poetry in 1990???

A fellow 'orger' just burned a copy for me since my copy got stolen awhile back and all I can say is that I love it...sure the 'poetry' gets kinda hokey but the music is dreamy and technoish and well Goddamn it, i love it...

my fave tracks are

Hippy Blood
Little Mama

But I have a question. What the fuck does she mean when says 'rolling around in an elephant box,' is this a metaphor of somekind?

Ingrid's album was one of the better latter-day Paisley Park releases. Her style was a fresh approach for Prince, and I'm glad the whole sex kitten thing was avoided. Dignity over lingerie works sometimes.

I like Ingrid's album. It is moody, hypnotic and tantalizing. It's something totally unique and different.Ingrid's poetry is great, and the music is beautiful. Her entire CD sounds heavenly, like you're floating on a cloud. It's got a "mood" throughout.

My favorite songs are "Heaven Must Be Near" and "Little Mama".

Exactly! It was refreshing to see a female Prince protege who didn't have to use sex to sell her music...lol...

I actually think her unreleased album 'Skyfish' is far superior to her Paisley Park label release.
