Apollonia 6 question Is Apollonia 6 a good album? I've always been curious as to whether it's a good album or not. I've heard "Sex Shooter" but nothing else off of the album.

Yes it is a great album. Blue Limousine with Brenda on lead vocals is especially strong. It is my favourite associated artists album. Buy it, u won't be dissapointed.

It's a good album.The best songs are...
"Sex Shooter"---despite some weak vocals by Apollonia, this is a good song.Catchy and infectious. "Blue Limousine"---This should have been a major hit! Great song featuring a surprisingly strong vocal performance by Brenda. "A Million Miles (I Love You)"---A fast, relentless number with interesting lyrics and kickass percussion by Sheila E.Once again,Brenda sings lead. The remaining songs are good, but it's worth it just for the three tunes listed above.

I love it. It's a wonderful example of the Minneapolis Sound. Several of the songs go on for a good length of time in a very fun way.

My favorite musical guilty pleasure.

I thought this was going to be a question about the mathematical equation used to formulate the group's name.
Never mind. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

The other ones grow on you, but the ones listed above are top notch Prince related catalog selections.

Vanity 6 >>>> Apollonia 6 by a country mile. It's not even up for debate.

Well, that's not what Wowugotit was asking us to compare anyway.

There's a version of "Some Kind of Lover" with Brenda on lead that's pretty awesome too. It's not on the album of course.

"Blue Limousine", "Toy Box", and "17 Days" are all very close cousins.

The Compromise Theory:
Based on my analysis, I believe the government faked the plane crash and demolished the WTC North Tower with explosives. The South Tower, in a simultaneous but unrelated plot was brought down by actual terrorists. Is it a deal?

Asides from a couple of really great tracks, the Apollonia 6 album is also a must-have because so many other great associated artists appear on it; Susannah Melvoin is on it, Jill Jones is on it, Sheila E. is on it, Wendy and Lisa are on it, Brown Mark is on it and Prince himself sings on "A Million Miles". It's probably the album where most people from "the purple family" puts in an appearance. So lots of reasons to get it

"Blue Limousine", "Toy Box", and "17 Days" are all very close cousins. Blue Limousine, Toy Box and 1999 (and of course, Manic Monday) are also similar melodically. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

I like the album; it's fun.
But I'm SUPER Apple-biased. I do nothing professionally. I only do things for fun. johnart: Acrylic's old bras is where tits of all sizes go to frolic after they die. Tit Heaven.
