I'd love to see a biopic about Vanity from her neked modeling/b-movie days in Canada to her club hoppin' modelin' days in the states to her fucking rick james (man that scene would be crayzay) and her getting picked up by Prince. The fights, the sex, the jealousy, the drugs, the slippin' out the back with Morris, the shady behind the scene deals which put her solo career in motion up until that douche back Nikki Six and that bigger douche football player she met at church or some shit. Take note, I'm not saying V6 didn 't influence acts that came after them (everything in the arts is cyclical so who hasn't influenced another up and coming artist at one point?). I'm just saying the sex schtick was not that outrageous nor particularly original...given that it had been done many times before that the artists I previously mentioned (and those added by 2elijah, an a host of others  When did I say the others weren't outrageous? Some of you in this thread are jumping on me for no reason. All I did was link a video to the girl playing Vanity in the movie I can't believe how derailed this thread has become.
and Vanity 6 was outrageous-the 80's were all about image, and their appearance/lyrics got them attention. These days, it's common to see girls dressed that way and to sing those kinds of songs. Just because some others in the past were outrageous before Vanity 6, that doesn't mean it was a common thing. If it wasn't a big deal, people wouldn't have written articles about the on-stage antics of Prince's female band. That's all I said. I'm not here to argue who came first, who had dirty lyrics before them etc...I'm just saying obviously Vanity 6 left an influence or else no one would have wanted to make a movie about them. Do we really NEED a movie about Vanity 6? Not that i didn't love the girls when they were doing their thing and lord knows me and my girls were dancing in the basement with our hair brush microphones but seriously folks.....
