Wow. Don't Waste my Time's synth line seems to be the same as the one in Blue Limousine. Wonder which came first? Anyway, I gotta find this album. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Yeah lol, i guess both tracks were recorded around 1983. The album's indeed worth to get. Some more good grooves on that LP.

I have this. I like it. I really like S-E-X. That's a hot track.

I remember an old issue of Rock N' Soul magazine, where these girls totally dissed Vanity/Apollonia 6 When asked about being compared to that group, one of the members said,bluntly...
"Unlike Vanity,I mean Apollonia 6,we can sing. And although we also sing about sexual topics,we do it with more taste and class than they do"

The extended mix is tight as well. Hope that one appears someday on youtube.

I do remember having the vinyl in my hands at a record store in the 80s, but I didn't pick it up. I guess I'll be searching for a digital copy now. I would imagine the physical record is hard to find these days. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

"Unlike Vanity,I mean Apollonia 6,we can sing. And although we also sing about sexual topics,we do it with more taste and class than they do" I would probably chalk that up to a little faux bravado. That's how those "street" girl groups rolled back then. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

There are 2 vinyl copies available at ebay though one copy is on bid and the other copy is a buy-it-now : http://cgi.ebay.com/Girls...110wt_1167 http://cgi.ebay.com/girls...500wt_1182 A cd-reissue might be realised someday, but that could depend on how much the demand or interest is for a company in order to release that.

Wow...you learn something new on the org everyday. I didnt know Andre had a girls group...I know their album must be way out of circulation now. I'll have to listen to some of their music on youtube. I'm in the mood for love...simply because your near me.

I think you still might be able to find a vinyl copy online. Some appear any now and then on ebay

Good call. And to be honest, we will never know the truth to which came first. “When I give food to the poor, they call me a saint. When I ask why the poor have no food, they call me a Communist.” Brazilian bishop Dom Hélder Câmara

If you like Andre's sound you'll like this album. It's no classic but for fans of the MPLSound there's some good stuff on the album.
Top Tracks. Don't Waste My Time What Do I see In You S-E-S-E-X Something BIG Is Coming.

I remember seeing Bamms article on them awhile back on the .org and thought they were cool. Then I seen the 12in single for S-E-S-E-X in a used record store and didn't buy it. Well they reduced it to $1.00 and I bought it today after re-reading Cam's article.... thanks dude.
I love old 80's related groups like this by P's offsprings. Not bad. I got the Tamara lp for $1.00 too awhile ago. Very Jesse Johnson vibe to it since he produced the group. You can really tell his music is in it. [Edited 5/4/10 20:35pm] "
