Immersion & Elixir Have you listened to the musical arrangements on both Immersion and Elixir recently? Absolutely fantastic!
Very beautifully done.

Very much agree. The highlight of the album IMO. I think it will take a few years before the majority of the hardcore realise just how good these tracks are. At the moment, most fans are letting their opinion on the Prince & Bria "relationship" (for lack of a better word) get in the way of really hearing the quality of the music. Musical subtlty at its best. Toejam @ Peach & Black Podcast: http://peachandblack.podbean.com

Very true. Too bad they didn't release Home as the single I think she would've done much better if that was the jump off. Also preforming songs from the cd would've been a good place to start as well. Proverbs 23:9

agreed. Both songs make a heart thump triple time. There's a few other lil gems floating around out there on those Thanks Brenda&Prince for the music. You both seem to work quite well with 1Another

To me the music on this CD was never in question. The listening experience for me however was ruined by the lackluster, underwhelming vocals. When I listen to 80% of anything on the radio these days I hear lackluster underwhelming vocals, so its kinda hard for me to be bothered by Bria's voice (which is not all that bad IMO). Compared to someone Rihana or Britney Spears or Madonna, its all the same to me, I just enjoy the music (if possible). Change it one more time..

Very beautifully done. Glad to hear that someone took time to sit down and listen to the music rather than bash it off hand as elevator music. The sublties of this fine album were lost on kids (or those with the msuical acumen of kids) who want uptempo noise all the time. It is grown folks music. [Edited 2/12/10 9:18am]

I like the way the album changes gears & gives a little bit of everything from fast to slow to just chill muse. Smile. U R NOT BETTER THAN ANYONE NOR R U PERFECT!!

I don't listen to the radio, and my ipod is filled more with the likes of Lizz Wright, Ledisi, Jill Scott, Badu, Ndea Davenport, etc. Hell even Mary J Blige who I don't think has the best singing style packs more emotional punch. To each their own though. Elixir is good background music to work to. I think it is the album that people wanted to hear from Sade. Listening the Soldier of Love and Elixir, I have to say Flixir is better. This is Sade's weakest outing ever. If they had made Elixir, it would be a smash.

Rihanna can outsing Brit, Madge and Bri cheese any day of the week and twice on Sunday...and her voice is just aiight. Of course, there really are only a handful of delightful female singing voices these days most of which isn't heard on popular radio. Shot out to Mimi, Kelly, Jennifer, Angie, Jill and yes even little miss rude boy.
