Why must you always sexualize the black male? It's a serious issue and one I don't wish to engage you in at the moment. All I ask is that you consider your comments and how they further stereotypes for the gay black male. Space for sale...

No, you perpetuate a stereotype what is "attractive" of a blackman with your stereotypical responses to posts about black artist that have nothing to do with their looks. And, as a gay black male, I am asking you to f*cking knock it off. Space for sale...

Oh...sorry I missed this comment, I think I understand, this isnt about whether or not Andre Cymone is hot or not but about the steering of topics that arent about that. Would it be okay if we started an Andre Cymone is hot thread and kept the music discussions on topic?

And as far as Andre goes musicwise and not lookwise, he made much more new wave/rock than he made funk and R&B so that's far from stereotypical. Andy is a four letter word.

Think about your comments here....how many threads are actually asking for you to pass judgment of their looks? And think about how often you are willing to offer your opinion on said subject. Then, consider how many of these men are black...and just once, sans once consider things besides the entertainment value of your current post. Your shtick was cute half a decade a go but when people have seriously sweat for racial equality, your sh*t gets old, fast. Space for sale...

Well, considering that most of my favorite artists are black, I'm just commenting on the person that the thread is about. I have also been in a David Lee Roth thread and said he was hot too and a KISS thread and said that Paul Stanley was hot. For every comment I make about a black artist being hot, am I supposed to also name a white artist that is hot also and vice versa so that it looks like I don't have a racial preference? I've seen you comment yourself in the past that Andre was hot and as far as offering an opinion on something other than just the song in the thread, you yourself commented on the clothes in this very thread. I at least commented on the song before commenting on his looks which is more than you did so before giving me advice, I suggest you follow your own advice about staying on topic. . . . I didnt find anything wrong with Andys post
he commented on the song and threw in some extra flavor as he usually does. you have probably been around long enough 2 know his org personality and you should have just ignored him if u dont like what he has 2 say. I understand you took it as a racial thing but I dont think it was meant to b that deep of a statement. You also mentioned equality and seeing how you are both gay it seems like this quarrel is a bit self-destructive. I don't want this 2 seem like a gang-lynching, i just dont think it was worth starting a debate about something like that in a thread such as this one. I made this thread and I say we move forward !!!!! You're so glam, every time I see you I wanna slam!

You, on the other hand comment on black men based on your own preconceptions of what's "black" and what's not. It's evident based on your comments on your sexual comments towards black men and it's evident based on your comments on black female artist (be it Whitney or your recent tired tyreed, Anita Baker). Well, I've had enough. Stop judging black artist based on your preconceived conceptions of what or whom they should be. Your stereotyping and prejudiced shtick is tired. I'm sorry you don't realize the stereotypes you are perpetuating, but as a black gay male who is fighting the fight, please heed my words when I say, your stereotypes do more harm then good. This isn't the first time i've expressed this, and sadly it probably won't be the last. Space for sale...

If that were the case, we blacks would still be slaves and we gay would still be forced to live our lives in the shadows. IMHO, we should never forget these things, especially when an individual is stereotyping black males, as andy has repeatability done in the past. Space for sale...

he posted nothing racially offensive in this thread.
you should send him a personal message and try to clear things up instead of laying in wait until you find an opportunity to strike. his comments might agitate you but they are harmless. u have 2b strong my brother. You're so glam, every time I see you I wanna slam!

I've shared my mind...I only hope that andy will consider "beating a dead horse" prior to exploiting another black artist again with his racial stereotyped comments. the balls in his court night night night. This isn't the first time i've expressed this, and sadly it probably won't be the last. You commented on his clothes and I commented on his looks so what's the difference? We both commented on something other than just the song. I seem to recall you a few years ago saying that you'd like to fuck the taste out of Robin Thicke's mouth or was that some other white artist? Am I supposed to think you were racial stereotyping the man with that comment? No, I'm not, just like me saying Andre Cymone is hot doesn't have a damn thing to do with stereotyping him because hot men come in all colors. And as for Anita Baker, what in the hell does she have to do with anything pertaining to this Andre Cymone thread? She's adult contemporary and I don't like adult contemporary music so what else is new? Hell, I don't like Barbara Streisand either and I praise Rod Stewart one minute for making a song like "Do You Think I'm Sexy" and dog him the next minute for making a song like "Forever Young". That's not racial stereotyping, that's expressing like or dislike for a particular artist's music. I don't have to like all forms of black music just like I don't have to like all forms of white music. Seems like your real problem with me is that I must have dogged out some particular artist or genre that you like and you take it personally because I've seen several folks dog Lionel Richie out for leaving funk and going the adult contemporary route and you don't have a crusade against them. As far as whether you personally like me or not, you either do or you don't. And if you don't, that's not my problem and there's nothing I can say to change it nor do I care to change it. Hell, you can't make everybody like you. Somebody's always going to not like you. But whether you personally like me or not doesn't have a damn thing to do with me singling out Andre Cymone as a black man to sexualize when I sexualize all men. . . .
