Well after a few minor delays the release of the'John Blackwell Project' debut cd '4 Ever Jia' is fast approaching and now in the printing stages.
The album is very diverse from funk/fusion/Jazz, something for everyone and some tunes that will have you singing in no time.

Joining John on the project are Paul Pesco (Guitar - Alicia keyes, Mary J, Madonna etc) , Corey Bernhard (Keys) and Will Lee (bass- Dave letterman show and has also played with an array of artists)
Other musicians collaborating on the album include Charlie Singleton (Cameo), Esperanza Spalding, David Mann (Tower of power), Luis Conte and more....

So thats a whole load of talent right there!!!

The playing on this album is so tight and the music varied, there will be vocal tracks alongside instrumentals as well.

The John Blackwell Project website will also be up and running by the end of this week. The website will have a guestbook, pics and history of the band and links to where you can buy the cd (cdbaby/Itunes). I will have more information about this in the next couple of days including the websites address.

funkyhead no P but there is an amazing group of talented musicians who have worked with John on this cd, really well worth a listen it will not dissapoint

Well I thought we were talking about whether he is credited or if it had been verified that he's on there. I wouldn't doubt that he's on there somewhere, but don't know that it'll be 'out there' and just because he isn't listed doesn't mean he didn't help in one way or another.
