But you are correct - they still have a great friendship and it shows.

The Family album came out in 1985, St. Paul was too young to be married, look how young he is in the The Time Ice Cream Castles album, which was only a year before, 1984. In the Ice Cream Castles pictures, St Paul seems to be like 15 years of age. Let's say he was 18 in 1985, do u think he got married at the age of 18?

St. Paul was discovered at the age of seventeen by Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Prince, and was hand picked to appear in his 1984 Grammy Award™ winning film Purple Rain as the new keyboard player (replacing producer Jimmy Jam no less!) in the critically acclaimed funk group The Time. St. Paul’s foray into the big league was under way at a rapid pace. He shortly thereafter contributed his keyboard skills to the group's platinum album Ice Cream Castle (#24 pop), and the infectious singles Jungle Love (#6 R& B/#20 pop) and The Bird (#36 pop).

Yep, it's rare. I think that's just a promo one but, it was intended 2 be the second single and tha 12' inch version was intended also. Tha 12' inch is in tha vault.

The whole Family is back together, sans Jerome (who doesn't seem to be in The Family or The Time at all). They're Fdeluxe now.

Paul's been married just over 20 years I believe. His daughter is a phenom songwriter and piano player. I've seen her perform at home, and she's pretty damn good! Even Paul seems amazed. I think Susannah and Doyle's kids are a bit younger.

I'm SO SO SO anxious for the album from Fdeluxe. From the stuff I've heard...it's going to be even better than the first. (Yeah, I said it.)

Prince didn't take these. A old school photographer named Horst (Horst Paul Albert Bohrmann) took them. Prince took the ones of the group outside - those appeared the inside of the gatefold album.

They also record at Paul's house, which has a very nice studio downstairs, and they also work at the old Flyte Tyme building in Edina, MN (which is really just a regular building in an office/industrial park). Paul also teaches Production classes there.

On The Family album and single covers Susannah bears a striking resemblance to Jami Gertz in The Lost Boys and Sean Young in Bladerunner.
