Does anyone know where I could find the extended version of the Deborah Allen song "Telepathy?" Prince wrote it for her 1987 album. I've been able to find the single version of the song, but I've had no luck tracking down the really great extended version. Can anyone help me out?

I used to actually own this thing, but I don't think I've EVER seen another copy, and I've done a lot of shopping. I hope you get some good leads.

it was better at the time but it's not happening too me anymore.it sounds like a flat outtake from Madhouse especially in the Instrumental element of it.

I bought it when it first came out. Don't know what city you live in but N.Y. might have it. Call some stores.

I paid about $60 for this about 10 years ago, and that's the only one I've ever seen. I got the LP on Ebay recently for $2.99 though, so maybe that's not so rare.

Thanks for the responses. I found the MP3 of the single version on Napster a couple years ago. It's been ages since I heard the extended version, but I remember thinking it was case where the extended version was the "real" song.

Oh well. The search continues. I guess I should check in some used record stores here in Minneapolis.

There's also a single version available on the Anthology CD, which is the only time this track has been released on CD. This is around 4 minutes long.

I have the last one you mentioned (with the club mix) and it has promo stamped on the label of the record. I found it in someone's garbage...

How could you pay $60 dollars for that song? You can get it for no more than $3.oo in used record stores. Are you Wacked?

I saw it once and should have picked it up in Tuscon, AZ...they have a huge used/vinyl record store called P.D.Q. near U of A...it's the best part of going to Tucson...(well that and the Indian Fry Bread!)

I should've picked it up...I do own Deborah's country albums...she was a great songwriter in her own right...her songs have been covered and made famous by LeAnn Rimes, Trisha Yearwood, even Brooks & Dunn!
