Madhouse "8" and "16" CDs

Have these discs been as heavily bootlegged (as in dubious eBay sellers flogging replicas of them) as other associated artists such as Vanity/Mazarati? There seems to be quite a few of them around...if I'm to be optimistic, I can only presume that their rarity value is quite low.

Yes they have been pirated a lot, so be extra careful when buying.

Search the forum for previous posts on this, you should be able to find some info on what to look out for smile

A good quality one is a good buy.

But the real CDs are pricey on eBay, and rightly so. There are so few of them out there it seems.

If you can find the orginal vinyl albums with all of the 12 inch versions they make nice additions to collection. I would say the same thing for any of the Jill Jones,Taja Seville, and Ingrid Chavez vinyl that came out around the same era. Heck even have the vinyl album of the Kenny Rogers album that has a cut Prince penned for him and if I remember right it was his alter ego Joey Coco.

Well there isn't going to be a vinyl that's ALL the 12" remixes.

The vinyls of any of these protege albums really doesn't draw anything as far as money. I've traded more Jill Jones and Family LPs than anything. There's a lot of them, and therefore not worth a lot. It's the CDs that are rare and $$$$

Unfortunately, the fakes are priced as high as the real deal. You have to do your homework on these and other often pirated Prince related products. I can dig mine out and scan the ring codes, so you can compare them to what the sellers should willingly provide you with. I should probably do this with a bunch of CDs and post them, as this question comes up a lot. No one should be getting screwed by these parasites.
If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.
