Mayte album or Carmen Electra album

Hey, I don't have either of the above albums. Are either of them worth getting? Also, I've never seen any pictures of Prince and Carmen Electra together, any of them about?

the mayte album is quite nice. it's a bit bland and not very special
or anything, but it's nice enough. some good prince songs on there..

most people will say she can't sing, but i find her voice quite nice
to listen to. "however much u want" is a great song, nice duet with prince
and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

They're both not TOO great, but Mayte's rises as the better album because it's more melodic, opposed to some tittilicious white girl trying to rap. However, both are due to be part of your Prince collection, so get them both. I think both sound dated. Some of Prince's early 90's material and head set ended up having a dated sound to them. It's that reverby percussion thing that you heard with New Kids on the Block, etc. You hear some of that on Mayte and Carmen's album. But...that's the nature of the protege beast.

Since neither of ladies have any (musical) talent,I'm gonna judge the albums on the songs themselves, which were produced by Prince.

The music on the Carmen Elektra album is excellent.Alot of funky grooves throughout. But the only outstanding song is "Fantasia Erotica".This is a cool, early 90s dance track that should have gotten some attention in the clubs.

Mayte's album is more ambitious.I like the songs "Ain't No Place Like You" and the warm, melodic "In Your Gracious Name".It's a decent album.

The one mistake that they made with Carmen's album is...they tried to make her a rapper disbelief Her raps are so unconvincing,it's hilarious. She should have just done what most of his other female proteges have done: pretend to be a singer.I think she would have been found more acceptance as a weak-voiced Prince protege instead of a wannabee female rapper.

Don't listen to what others are saying, if you're a fan of rap music you will love Carmen Electra's album.
She should have done more, but without Prince's magic touch may not have worked.

Child of the Sun is worth getting for In Your Gracious Name alone. Beautiful, Beautiful, Beautiful song!!!

Bit of trivia, the "Ain't No Place Like You" beat was used on "Slave"

I love that song and Fantasia Erotica. Probably the only two of Carmen Electras tracks that I have on any of my playlists.
When eye go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all heart up in the house but when eye log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!

Those two songs are actually quite good, and the only one's I care for as well. Fantasia Erotica should have been the lead off single. It had a "Madonna hit" quality to it. Good Judy Girlfriend is a treat.

carmens album has funky stuff like get on top and brick house (and was skin tight on it too?), and all that is a cool track, rapping over a remake of adore

the mayte album is pretty mediocre. the only half decent tracks sound really dated like however much u want, ain't no place like u wasn't a bad track though

neither. come to think of it, of all the women he dated and "composed" songs for... didn't turn out that good.
buying their albums will be a waste of money, time and e.n.e.r.g.y!
