What is your favorite Wendy and Lisa album? I am a big fan of Wendy & Lisa and have often wondered what other fans feel is their best album! For me, I like Fruit At The Bottom, however, I feel that I am in the minority on that one!
Sooooo.... I created a poll in hope that fans will give their 2 cents worth and chime in on which Wendy and Lisa album they love the most! You can vote here: http://wendyandlisanews.b...-lisa.html Feel free to leave a comment on the blog or here, if you want to explain your decision If you are not a Wendy & Lisa fan, then please ignore this post. I certainly don't want it to get negative. Thanks for your input!

If I had to pick one album, I would pick Wendy & Lisa (1987) as my favorite.

Fruit runs a close second. But sometimes the first is just always the best. Great songs, great memories attached, etc. Fruit took a while to grow on me, but it's definitely up there now.

wow. really? Did you notice the part that said if you're not a fan ignore the post? Guess you just had to be even more of a predictable "fam". I like Eroica - think it is WAY funky. And I really do love White Flags. Whole different feel to each.

Eroica without question. That album is perfection?
Hey squirrelgrease, what do you mean double CD? I am convinced Beyonce's career would not be where it is, if she had dark skin.

Hey squirrelgrease, what do you mean double CD? I found mine at a pawn shop, but I believe it was only released in Europe. It's a 5" CD of the Eroica album and a 3" CD of bonus material housed in a double thickness jewel-case. If I remember correctly, a couple of the instrumentals on the extra disc were intended for a configuration of The Dream Factory or Crystal Ball projects. 5" CD (Wendy & Lisa) Rainbow Lake – 4:42 Strung Out – 4:13 Mother of Pearl - 5:11 Don't Try to Tell Me - 4:43 Crack in the Pavement - 3:25 Porch Swing - 5:25 Why Wait for Heaven - 4:48 Turn Me Inside Out - 4:32 Skeleton Key - 4:12 Valley Vista - 3:44 Staring at the Sun - 4:20 3" CD (Lisa) 1. Minneapolis #1 2. Minneapolis #2 3. Eric's Ghost 4. C-Ya Here is a reputable seller that has it for really cheap (compared with eil's $65 price): http://www.mattscdsingles...a_858.html Oops... looks like it sold already Edit. [Edited 12/3/09 20:13pm] I bought the Double-CD online. I LOVE the Eroica album also! The piano improvisatioms are pretty cool to listen to because you don't necessarily get to hear Lisa play piano very much. She is clearly in the songs but sometimes she gets drowned out. Sweet Suite on WFOWC is a good example of her great piano playing.

Wendy & Lisa
Great songs and in terms of the production - one of my favourite albums ever.

My fave right now is "White Flags", but I have to say "Eroica" was - by far - the most groundbreaking.
Before Lilith Fair, before Sheryl Crow, before Sarah Mc. or Alanis - before that type of women's alternative music had ever come to form, there was Eroica. While it never acheived mass popularity, it was extremely well known among a certain set of engineers, artists and producers, and I think its impact on the next decade of music has been vastly under-estimated in the pop music press.
