Dale Bozzio Jailed

Dale Bozzio Of Missing Persons Jailed
by Paul Cashmere - November 15 2009
http://undercover.com.au/...px?id=9491

Dale Bozzio, singer for 80s band Missing Persons, has been jailed for animal cruelty.

Missing Persons fall into that “one-hit wonder” category after scoring a global hit with the song ‘Words’.

The band featured Dale and her husband Terry Bozzio who met when they were both in Frank Zappa’s band. (They performed on Zappa’s Joe’s Garage album).

Bozzio turned herself into New Hampshire jail this week to serve time for the crime. She was charged with animal cruelty after sick and dead cats were found at her home. 12 cats had to be euthanized.

She was sentenced to 90-days in jail and given a $2700 fine. She is always obliged to complete 250 hours of community service.

She was signed to Paisley Park as a solo artist and released the album "Riot In English" on the label in 1988 which included the song "So Strong" which was written by Prince.

Maybe. But I can't manage to listen to more than 30 seconds of this song without wanting to rip my ears off, so I can't really say. biggrin

So Strong was a good song, I've not any other songs from the album.

Was So Strong a Prince production or did he just write it?

Ahhh...1988: for me as a fan, it was the best of times (Lovesexy) and the worst of times (Dale, Three O Clock, Good Question).

Paisley Park Records started off promisingly, with great albums by Mazarati,The Family and Sheila E.I don't know what happened but by the late 80s,Prince began signing weird acts and releasing whack records that didn't stand a chance.

Wowugotit

I remember hearing something about this about a year ago, nothing recent. She must have just been sentenced. She was away performing somewhere and left her cats in the house by themselves (or something similar to this).

Riot In English (1988) is an excellent dance/pop album.
